Because at a certain point, abortion IS murder. By the end of the pregnancy
the fetus is all but a baby, and deflating its/his/her skull is not letting
it live. The rpoblem is, when exactly is that point; no one can say. The
best solution is to try and avoid *needing* abortions in the first place.

Rape, carelessness, contraceptive failure, whatever.

Maybe.
Yes.
If it was bad timing but with someone I love, and if I considered myself
capable, *much* better odds of having it. If I was raped by a total stranger
tomorrow (at the age I'm of - 16.5), it would be much tougher to refuse an
abortion.
> What would the options be?
a. having the baby and sending it to adoption
b. having and raising it
c. Abortion
It's a tough decision.

Both. My best answer is this:
(this is something I wrote awhile ago when my bf asked me what I would do if
I got preganant tomorrow. I'm sure he doesn't mind I'm planting it in here,
right, Chris?)
"<thinking>
"Here are the options. From my POV.
"a. keep going, have it, send it to adoption. Meaning, nine months of
connecting to a baby that I have to give up later. And not just connecting,
I mean, think about it - morning sicknesses, doctor visits, and labor is
*tough*. AND, I'd find it hard to let go of my own child- you know how much
I love kids.
"b. having it and raising it... ouch. A family at 16. I've seen it happen.
Doesn't forebode well.
"c. Aborting.... yeah, it's tough, too. Obviously, it's just as hard as any
of the other options. If you consider it as killing.... geez. Yeah, that's
harsh.
"basically, I honestly, honestly don't know. It's a *very* tough decision.
But I don't think *anyone* can make that decision but the mother, and maybe
the dad, if he's willing to be a part of it..."

Glad to.

| Note below that in my questions, I'm not arguing, I'm asking for clarification. (...) So what? Do you think that pre-murder abortions should be reduced too? Why? (...) Why can no one say? That point must be based on something. If it's based on (...) (24 years ago, 16-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
