I'll defer to Erik who is much more knowledgable. As I've said before,
being convinced by an argument and being able to reproduce the argument
accurately enough to convince others are two different things.

Rand convinced me.

I may not have all the details right any more to where I can reproduce
them but I assert they're pretty much wired into me at this point.

His post on the other thread is an excellent summation. Way better than
I could ever do. I continue to have some issues with Rand around the
edges but they're minor (for instance, why do all her characters smoke
cigarettes, but she had such an anti pot stance? Nicotine alters mood
and perception, so does caffeine...) quibbles at best.
