Hypotheticallly speaking, I agree with both of yas.
And I want to say something about it, even though this short thread has
been neglected for a week. It appeared at the top of my list for some
reason. I haven't been on this group in a long time (luckily for us all).
Anyway, reading the initial post I thought of a lot of people who firmly
believe certain stories, and it seemed strange, as usually those stories
differ wildly from person to person, but anyway... the second post is really
cool to me, so thanks Bill.
I like the way you wound the Alpha to the Omega - perhaps there is a
reason for everything... like disobeying God and eating an apple - and
growing/learning/suffering for millenia... what is it that is learned?
Perhaps to obey God. He does loves us, he does wants what is best for us...
and what is best for us must be... for us to know that he knows all, for us
to know that he is right, for us to know not to question him, for us to know
his love. Hypothetically speaking of course, as I don't Know him or
anything about him, but that sounds good and could be right I guess, and if
it was that would be dandy. Is there some kind of prize for those who guess
right? Non-eternal damnation? I do thank God (or whatever it is) for
enlightenment.
