No, they would be favouring Judeism, as the 10 Commandments were given to
Moses, who at the time was leading the Israelites out of Egypt. They were
Jews. Christianity is based on Judeism with one fundamental difference - we
believe that Jesus is the Saviour that the Jews are waiting for.

My bad ^^;

Though, technically, aren't the 10C included in the Old Testiment?  I
can't remember for certain.

Yes they are, in the book of Exodus is where we see them first. The Jewish
Bible is basically the Old Testament only, whereas the Christian Bible has
both the Old and New Testament.

A freind of mine recounts an interesting story. He went to a Jewish wedding
where one of the Bride and Groom's friends was asked to read from the Bible.
Knowing he was a Christian the father of the Groom watched like a hawk to make
sure nothing was read from the New Testament, so the friend carefully selected
a passage from the book of Isaiah. Well, the father flew off in a rage and
accused the friend of all sorts of anti-Semetic things because he thought the
friend was reading from the New Testament, until he pointed out the passage he
read from the Old Testament. I love that story.

Aren't the New Testament and Old Testament versions of the Ten
Comandments slightly different?
