Just curious what the Community thinks about this. And do you consider
invites to Lego® groups spam.

A good question, CM Bob. There certainly seems to be a lot of them these days,
some of which seem to have a narrow focus (theres even one called LEGO®
Complaining!).
At the moment I cope with the huge number of LEGO groups by the simple tactic of
joining those that interest me, and not joining those that dont. The
invitations to other groups are easily ignored, and dont particularly bother me
- though I acknowledge that some people get very worried about them (Perhaps
theres an opportunity for a LEGO® Group Invitation Complaining group).

Good move - ideally though, you should have cross-posted your original post to
o-t.d as well: That would have ensured that the flow of the thread (if any) is
easily visible to readers of both groups.
