Oh I believe you DO want to offend gays. And NO, its not the truth. I do not
find it repulsive. I would in fact say that I find it nice to see people loving
each other freely nowadays, compared to some eras or some places in the world
where gays and lesbians are prosecuted. So in a sense, I find it not repulsive,
but rejoycing.
|
And it
goes beyond mere intolerance. We are probably talking on the DNA level here
or something, but it is deeply ingrained.
|
What the heck are you talking about? You make it sound like a genetc disease.
But Im sure you think of it that way.
|
Now I believe most people want to be tolerant and respectful of gays as
people, but asking heterosexuals to accept their lifestyle is too much
|
Talk for yourself and those like you. As a convinced heterosexual with no doubt
on my sexual orientation, I can say that I tolerate, accept and find it normal
and nice to see same-sex marriages be accepted, same-sex couples being able to
adopt a chld, same-sex people hold hands in public because theyre in love. It
doesnt concern me at all. I used to fnid it weird or repulsive, but then
again, it was the 80ies and i was 8 years old... Ive grown much since then and
I learned many things, including that being gay is as normal as being hetero.
Shove your intolerance where it belongs.
|
It
is too much of an afront to their sexuality. Wouldnt the world be a more
tolerant place if we were all bisexual-- well it aint gonna happen.
|
Feh. Wouldnt the world be more tolerant if people were more tolerant than you?
|
And this goes beyond religion and beliefs, so Id rather not see them dragged
into the discussion (until the end, eh Lar?).
|
Does it? I don,t know of any person who doesnt believe in some form of deity
(God, Allah, whatever) who lacks tolerance towards gays and lesbians. Oh, Im
sure there are some, but Id be curious to know why they think that way...
I am against such a newsgroup for the simple fact that Lugnet isnt about
sexuality, be it hetero or homo. But homosexuality, bisexuality or other forms
of sexuality between consenting adults do not bother me one second, whatever
they are.
