I agree! Parents should feel comfortable, knowing that no topics
contained herein will harm their children. It is a very serious shame that
many parents are so confused aout right and wrong and health and harm that
they might consider the exposure to homosexuals inappropriate for their
children.

I think the point was that why should sexual orientation of any kind be a
topic on a LEGO hobby site such as LUGNET. I believe its the love of LEGO
that has brought us together on here, beyond that I dont think we need to
single out folks based on their other love interest outside of LEGO be it
heterosexual, homosexual or other.

I am in agreement with you as well. It doesnt matter as long as you love
building with good old Lego!
James, I can tell you why this is an issue with homosexuals. They want to
tell other people they are gay because unless they are blatant about it
(visually or verbally) you and I dont know it and they dont like people NOT
to know it. They dont like people not knowing they are gay, because as the
vast majority of people are not, they assume that everyone else is like them
too (not gay). They want affirmation from others about their homosexuality.
They desire external approval of others regarding their sexual orientation.
As you can see from the posts on this issue, they sure dont want to hear
anything negative or less-than-approving of what they want to do. That is
something they dont want to tolerate, and will spend much time trying to
label people who dont embrace what they want to do as homophobic. And you
cant have a safe space if youve got homophobic people actually
disagreeing with what homosexuals want, so now maybe we start down the path
to censoring LUGNET people, or maybe banning people because they think
differently than a protected sub-class.
|
Since I am (I believe) the one who started using the homophobic term in this
thread, let me add that I am happily married, striaght, catholic male. Not that
any of that matters, really, but you seem to be saying that the homosexuals here
are calling you homophobic because you disagree with them. That is not true. I
am calling you homophobic.
