In another bit of trivia, I went to this list:

http://www.census.gov/population/documentation/twps0027/tab22.txt

looking for metropolitan areas I haven't been in. Starting at the top, I • had to
go to #44 (Honolulu) before I found one I hadn't been in. (changing planes • in
the airport of that area counted for that particular analysis, as did • driving
through it without stopping)

My first hole is #4... I'm not well travelled in Texas (have been to Dallas
and Fort Worth though, Dallas to see the Big Boy, Fort Worth to ride the
steam train ride).

I just remembered if you count landing at an airport, I can add Missouri to
my states list, I flew on a Midway "non-stop" flight from Raleigh NC to San
Jose CA via St. Louis (the plane we were supposed to use had equipment
problems so they switched us to another plane, but it couldn't do the trip
non-stop so we had to stop for fuel, they didn't let us out of the plane
though - as opposed to the time I flew from San Jose to Chicago non-stop via
Des Moines so we could pick up fuel to orbit Chicago until they let us
land).

Of course I've also been to DC. Haven't  been to any US territories.

Oh, I also miscounted in Canada, I have been to New Brunswick, Newfoundland
(L'Anse aux Meadows near St. Anthony would be the farthest North I've been
in North America - and probably represents the longest trip on a dirt road
I've been on - that was back in the early 70s), Quebec, Ontario, and British
Columbia.

Ok, coordinatewise, looks like the road to Ucluelet BC is the farthest west
I've been, Ucluelet BC is 48.94066N 125.54343W, but to get there by car, you
wind up a smidgen more west.

Like I said though, piddly compared to those who have been south of the
equator or to Asia and/or Australia. Heck, not even that good compared to my
sisters (I think they have both been in more states, my older sister has
been through more of Canada, my younger sister has been to Mexico and has
taken a Carribean cruise).
