I feel sorry for the troops; there are not enough of them and they have the
wrong type of training. I blame Bush, Rumsfeld etc for the alleged atrocities;
not the troops on the ground.

I dunno about you but viewing some of the Fallujah footage, I kept hearing
we had to destroy the village in order to save it and we are making great
progress in our pacification of the Mekong delta from the voices in my head.

Given the carnage wrought by Bush across Iraq, there is something perverse about
him demanding Fallujah handover those involved in the killing of your four
countrymen.

Wish theyd shut up and let me be.
1 - note. we dont NEED to be 100% perfect in order to be better than our
opponents. Even a mixed morality can succeed. But SOME movement in the good
direction would be a good thing.

The problem is that Bush appears to have adopted the (failed) Israeli model for
dealing with low intensity urban warfare. The alterative is the tried and
tested UK model which is working well in Basra.
