What ever happened to free trade? What ever happened to freedom of speech?

Good questions. They never existed in Iraq-- until now.

Im sorry, but thats simply inconsistent with reality. Free trade
absolutely does not exist in Iraq. As just one example, an enormous,
multibillion-dollar, well-connected company has a stranglehold on the
reconstruction process in a no-bid contract; what free-trade-minded Iraqi
company can compete with that?
And f ree speech certainly doesnt exist, as discussed here (and many other
places): Article 1
Article 2

Whatever happened to opposing blood-thirsty dictators, and promoting
