Good questions. They never existed in Iraq-- until now.

I’m sorry, but that’s simply inconsistent with reality. Free trade absolutely does not exist in Iraq. As just one example, an enormous, multibillion-dollar, well-connected company has a stranglehold on the reconstruction process in a no-bid contract; what free-trade-minded Iraqi company can compete with that?

And f ree speech certainly doesn’t exist, as discussed here (and many other places): Article 1 Article 2

   Whatever happened to opposing blood-thirsty dictators, and promoting freedom and democracy in the world?

Without being overly facetious, it’s amazing to me how many of these rhetorical questions apply equally well to Dubya as to Hussein.
