From today’s Scotsman:

“Many residents said the Americans opened fire at random when they came under attack, and targeted civilian installations.Six destroyed vehicles sat in front of the hospital, where witnesses said US tanks shelled people dropping off the injured. A kindergarten was damaged, apparently by tank shells. No children were hurt.”

I heard on the BBC this morning that only 8 bodies had been recovered; all of them civilians. A big change on yesterday’s story:

“The number of Iraqis killed by US forces in Sunday’s fighting had risen to 54 from 46, the US military says.”

Does anyone one know when this will end? Does anyone know how this has made us safer?
