But you’ll never GET such an apology. John is such a PRIDEful Xtian (oops, that’s a sin, innit), that he’ll never admit that his religion started out of (i.e., is based on), and continues to breed, violence and death. He’s a Xtian Bigot, and nothing you argue will ever change his bigoted mind.

As far as Christianity breeding violence and death, I don’t see it.

I second that!

Hmmm... let’s see, the KKK, neo-Nazis, yep no Christians breeding violence and death at all.

Neo-Nazi’s and the KKK are not Christians at all! The term means one that follows Christ and His teachings. There is no evidence in any of Christ’s teaching that He would suppport the actions of these groups, in fact their actions are entirely counter to the fundamental teaching of Christ.

Which (in a world wide perspective) is certainly not the case with some
other religions.

Are you serious? (Personally I think you are being sarcastic but I don’t know) I mean granted many living in dictatorships can’t publicly decry evil behaviour for fear of execution, but many people of those religious who live in freedom rebuke evil actions.

In Christianity God is seen as “God the Father” a God that you can personally know and one that acts as a human father (love plus dicipline). In Islam, for example, Allah is not personally knowable and his character is more “dictatorial.” Articles on this subject fill many complex pages. The bottom line is that the societies where many people are uneducated/illiterate and taught the dictates of Islam...those societies tend to be MUCH MORE subject to becoming dictatorships.

Further, the above statement shows a complete lack of knowledge regarding the number of persecuted Christians world-wide. They are the VICTIMS of violence and persecution; not the other way around.

Also Christian societies lend themselves to the freedoms and debates allowed within this news group. You don’t see millions of Americans oppressed by the religious systems (including atheism) of China, India, and the Middle East.

Millions of Arabs were not opressed by dictorships only a few generations ago. Afganistan had a thriving film industry prior to the Taliban taking over. Saddam was elected and overthrew the government from the inside out. China was one of the most advanced societies prior to the Communist revolution. On the opposite side Eastern Orthodox Christianity did not prevent the Soviet Union.

Point well taken....

Once again, in the category of "Why Bother?"... (...) You do not get to decide that -- they do! I am pretty sure a Xtian is anyone calling themselves a Xtian, however misguided you may think their beliefs may be. For example, President Shrub thinks (...)
