Why do people post 1600x1200 pictures on BrickShelf? I love looking at
these pictures where I have no idea what on earth the thing is because
you have to scroll all over creation. People are just lazy sometimes.

Personally, I crop pictures and/or resize them so they are 800x600 at
the largest. I usually go for closer to 640x480.

Another one I love is folks who post folders of thumnails of their
pictures on BrickShelf. I wonder how many people realize you can just as
easily direct link to the thumbnails as to the picture? I do it all the
time when designing web pages.

Oh, something else the high speed snobs might want to consider is the
number of folks who surf the web on their phones and such these days.
I'm guessing those aren't high speed...

(3 URLs) I'm with Mike P. What exactly is the excuse for not web-optimizing these very fuzzy images in the first place? It takes like 1 minute to do (even though I screwed up my naming convention on the last image). The new versions of these images (...) (21 years ago, 17-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)
