Hey, what's wrong with trying to throw out a foreign occupying force?
Rather see them do it Gandhi/King style, though.  Blowing up baby carriages
just hurts their own cause (kinda like the Palestinians).

I'm going to jump on your parenthetical comment, Bruce, to make a point.  The
Palestinians have an agenda-- self-determination, Statehood, and peace.  The
Israelis have an agenda-- the recognition of their right to exist, and peace.

*sigh* Even the PA recognises their right to exist.

*Everyone* in the PA???

Does everyone in Isreal support the occupation of the West Bank? Does the
majority even do so?

The Israeli agenda is land
theft.

I don't deny that there are extremist Israelis who hold this view, but the
overwhelming majority *DO NOT*, and thus your statement is patently false and
egregiously provocative.

When Shamir ended his term as PM this is what he had to say:

"It pains me greatly that in the coming four years I will not be able to
expand the settlements in Judea and Samaria [West Bank] and to complete the
demographic revolution in the Land of Israel. I know that others will now
try to work against this. Without this demographic revolution, there is no
value to the talk about autonomy, because there is a danger that it will be
turned into a Palestinian state. What is this talk about 'political
settlements'? I would have carried on autonomy talks for ten years, and
meanwhile we would have reached half a million people in Judea and Samaria."

What is Sharon’s agenda? Netanyahu’s?

Anyone who really believes in freedom [as opposed to self interest]
would understand that.

You said it, not I-- I rest my case.

I stand by those words John. If you believed in freedom, you'd condemn the
Israeli acts of terror every bit as much as you the Palestinian’s. But you
don't.

I rest my case.
