Wrong, public opinion has a whole lot to do with law. How do you think most
laws get made/changed/deleted - public opinion warrants a change in the law.

I am appalled that you find the National Endowmnet of the Arts a waste of
taxpayer money. But I guess you'd rather see that money go to the NRA.
