The world needs to come to terms with the simple fact that the US *IS
MIGHTIER THAN THOU*

Have you never read the bible John? Was Goliath not MIGHTIER than David?  It
all depends on how you measure "might".

I was measuring it militarily.  How would *you* measure it?  By height?

Ghandi demonstrated where the real
power lies. He was stronger than the then British Empire.

It's not pretentious, merely fact.  Be thankful that the US also
happens to be the greatest power ever to have existed on the face of the
earth AND shows unprecedented restraint WRT world aggression and expansion.

Let me guess, the USA is  destined to rule the world and built an Empire that
would last a 1000 years? This sounds familiar.

Well, you guessed wrong.  The US doesn't happen to rule the world; she just
makes sure that nobody else attempts to do so.

Think about that.

Before you go 'waging a war on terror' in other countries, before you start
yammering about how 'evil' other folks are in their yards--take a look at
the way you do things in your own country--remove dat der plank from yer eye
before ya go about tryin' to shake the dust outta mine...

Well, I'd rather countries deal with their own terrorists rather than be
sympathetic to them or worse, support them.  If they harbor terrorists that
then attack the US, they are on notice-- clean up YOUR ACT, or we will
oblige and do it for you.

What about the terrorists the USA has trained? What about the human rights
abuses the USA funds? What about the international laws it breaks? Dose none
of that matter? Are only the results of that important to you? Terrorism is
ugly, but you is often motivated by a just cause.

Look, I am not saying the US is perfect-- yeah, we have made some misteaks, but
we have done FAR GREATER good.  The world's insistance upon focusing on the
US's warts is getting rather tiresome-- doesn't your country have some problems
of its own it needs addressing?  And if one of them is terrorists, we'd be
happy to help you out.

As far as how we "do things in our country"-- we are the model, the freest
country on earth.

If you are white had have money perhaps.

That, my friend, is racism, to which I won't dignify with a response.

-John

(...) John, you are being obtuse. Like I say below, Ghandi demonstrated where the real power lies. (...)
