If you want to explain proportional representation, perhaps you can explain
how gerrymandering is fair?

These have all been raised here, and dismissed by you without real >explanation.

Gerrymandering?  Brought up in this thread?  Like h-e-double hockey sticks
they have, Larry...

Do a search in this *entire* thread and show me, up until this post of
yours, when the word gerrymandering even showed up.  If you wish to dilute
the thread to what's wrong with the democratic process, then go ahead and
bring these things up and I'll be completely on-side with you on
gerrymandering, just like:

"...Commentators have said that Baker v. Carr started "the reapportionment
revolution" but that it remains unfinished because the courts have, so far,
failed to end gerrymandering, a practice Justice Byron White once called "a
far greater potential threat to equality of representation" than lack of
precise population equality (Wells v. Rockefeller). Miller alleges five
constitutional (and one statutory) violations. If victorious on grounds of
its claimed "neutrality principle," it would finish the "revolution" by
abolishing gerrymandering of all kinds, and at all levels of government..."

I know there are issues in the democratic process--but looky--there are
judges, and other people, working at getting this gerrymandering fixed.

So don't go diluting the issue--I'll agree with you on these other ones...
