on a related note (well, somewhat at least) The preacher at my church asked
how many people in the congregation had been involved in automobile
accidents...out of a group of about fifty people, just under a dozen raised
their hands.
personally, I have passed by more than a dozen accidents in the last three
years and have met almost just as many people who have been victims/cause.
on the flip side, i have only met two people who have been shot (one I met
in the Navy, teh other was a veteran) and have not known anyone who has been
killed or has commited suicide with guns...
