The media says I should be. And I think the explosion of eating disorders
among teen age girls says that they are getting the message. I personally
ignore all advertising. I'm a marketers nightmare. I don't believe or pay
attention to any ads at all.

I have no idea what makes women want to do this. I can't understand it myself.

No, I don't desire the attention but at the American "average" I don't enjoy
people telling me that I'm somehow "large." Or how about something that affects
me more directly. Going to the store and only finding sizes 2-6 for sale. Of
course logically you could say that all the "average" women already beat me to
the store and bought all the clothes and only the stick thin sizes are left.
Or how about womens fashions? Most of the "fashionable" clothes are designed
for the stick thin women. Just making something in a larger size doesn't mean
that it will look good on us.

Guess I've read too many expose' of how she treats her staff, and how little of
"her" ideas are actually her own. I've read that she's a royal you know what
in person. I don't have any respect for someone that mistreats those under
them no matter how much money she's made doing it.
> You have to try to be you? How do these stereotypes prevent you from being
you?
The stereotypes don't prevent me from being me, its the people around me that
have bought into the stereotypes that I get grief from.

Hey, we've all got to have our priorities! Right?

Already did that, several times over. But no one is lined up to take "his"
place, especially when they find out that they have to clean up after
themselves. In fact all the contenders after him have had the nerve to say out
loud, "but if you loved me, you'd change......" or my favorite is, "once we are
together, you'll cook for me because you love me and doing that will show that
you love me." None of them lasted very long....
Since I can't cook at all, I'd probably kill the guy anyway. :-)
