The sad thing is that Economic sanctions barely harm those that make the
nations decisions. Any person in goverment or in a powerful position will
still get their fine food, medical facilities and luxury goods. Thats a fact
about such corrupt governments. Meanwhile its the typical citizen who
suffers through sanctions, and usually its not them that either created the
problem, or have the means to solve the problem.
Whilst its easy for outsiders to say "why don't they just get rid of their
leaders", thats much easier said than done. Usually the corruption flows
onto the armed forces or the nations police appartus, and can use phsycial
force to extend the rule and pwoer of those corrupt parties.
Its sad that just as much good a good leader can make, there'll be equal bad
with a bad leader. Why don't they learn that the spoils of victory are so
much better, if they can improve the life of everybody rather than just
themselves...
