  Re: Rumor control?

(...) Interesting. Out of curiosity, what percentage of heavy industry is located in the US? Or is all that CO2 produced by cars? Do you have a breakdown of other leading national contributors to atmospheric CO2? (...) Really? Every week? Under what (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Lets keep politics out of Lego

(...) OK Larry, I shall give you a silver star for trying. The key word to search for, I suppose, is "doctorate". It would have revealed: (BTW - EPSRC funded my doctorate at a cost of, in today’s $, $200,000 over 3 years. This focused on defining (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Lets keep politics out of Lego

(...) Well, I just ran a scan on all of Lugnet, using PhD as the search term, and there's no post from Scott saying what his doctorate is in. The feeling in Scotland is a little more mature. I'll quote one of you countrymen to sum up (...) (24 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Lets keep politics out of Lego

(...) Agreed. There is no "monolithic" UK view, (just as there is no "US" view either). However there certainly is a bit of a running gag among many people I talked with about disliking the French and french ways. The UK and France are close allies (...)   Re: Election Fraud? (wa Re: CODE WORD TIME)

I used to live in Broward county and work in Palm Beach county. Both ARE heavily Democratic... and both are home to a lot of very clueless people. There is no correlation implied there, of course. Remember, it was in Broward that a little old lady (...) (24 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
