I got a couple of the random Battle Chests so I could see if I like this
stuff or if I can work around it with my LEGO.  The shields and weapons work
fine.  The heads, legs and torsos of the warriors work well with LEGO.  The
bricks are interesting, like slump-stone in light grey.  The pre-fab stuff
works with my LEGO bricks (if I had more of these I'd be tempted to replace
some windows on my Brickshelf castle).  Overall, very promising and likely
will draw some of my LEGO money away :)
Mega Blocks is really posing a threat with the quality, design and price of
their newest sets.
Thumbs way up!!

I agree with Aaron. These will draw a lot of my Lego money away. I bought a
couple of the Battle Chests (9861 Bronze Knights & 9862 Silver Knights) and a
9871 Dragon Slayer this week. The dragons are a little awkward, but the rest of
the stuff offers tons of options (a castle builder's dream!!!).

31 different knights (well OK, 31 different heads, 2 body styles)
19 different weapons
2 different shields with each having at least 2 colors
2 different colored horses
5 different banners (I think)
3 different siege weapons (I am still thinking about these)

I don't know how many different burps there are, but I plan to use them all!
These might be the coolest castle sets I've ever seen!!! I hope they inspire
Lego to better stuff.
