(...) Edible bricks of cheese?! Is this even feasable? Aaah! I don't even want to think about it! Just my two brickz... <<_Matt Hein_>> Lugnet Member No. 1112 (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: 2x4 Cheezy Brick Packs Now In Store!

Is this for real? I saw that on Brickshelf and figured someone made it up in photoshop. Really funny. :) Bruce (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: 2x4 Cheezy Brick Packs Now In Store!

(...) Wow. This didn't make OUR paper till today (2 days later). Must be nice to get info ahead of time like that. What I don't get is how they get the cheese not to stick to the molds. Only available in yellow, eh? But if you wait long enough you (...) (23 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: Are you going to tell them or am I?

(...) That's shocking. I'm speculating now, but I wonder how many pictures of kids with genuine LEGO COTS models actually get sent in to the magazine and get filtered out? I mean, would you think of sending in a picture of a known set? Probably not. (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Are you going to tell them or am I?

[snip] (...) Well everything I have read on Lugnet about TLC, seems to indicate that they operate in a bubble. They do not recognize the fact that Mega Bloks is a serious competitor. I would not be surprised if the Lego upper management does not (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) Whoa! You're kidding, right? (...) Scary...let's just hope Lego doesn't do this again... ;^( (...) Who knows?! The Blockoland Simpsons look just like Kubricks, though I can't prove it. (URL) official page (Japanese) (URL) saw Kubricks Planet of the Apes figure sets in Previews in January. (...) Doh! My fault for imprecise wording. I wasn't trying to accuse you yourself of being a Simpsons zealot, but I was trying to say "avoid these unless you (the "general" you) are a total fanboy."   Re: The Simpsons are going to Blockoland!

(...) Yikes! $28 bucks for (acording to the box) about 100 pieces. I would not pay that for real Lego let alone a clone. Now on clearance they might be worth it despite the irregularities.
