Re: Recommendations for Media PC OS?

(...) It might be the expected answer, but I'm really really happy with MythTV: (2 URLs) linux would do, and you don't need to know anything about it to set it up - I just followed this guide, word for word: (URL) Dan Boger dan@peeron.com (21 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Recommendations for Media PC OS?

It appears that we may be building a media computer for our house soon... Basically, it will play movies (off CDs/DVDs/network) and music. Probably doesn't need to do anything else since the video card is too slow for 3D rendering. What OS/software (...) (21 years ago, 11-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: firefly

(...) I'm in the same boat - I'm in the middle of watching the series so I'll be prepared for the movie. Aside from all the great characters, writing, etc., you know what I really like about this show? No sound in space! Did you see the (URL) LEGO (...)   firefly

I'm late to the party, but what a freakishly awesome show! Just finished watching the DVD. And they canceled it?!? I guess there was some crappy reality show that was more important. So, what's this about a movie? :) (21 years ago, 10-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Help a bro in a Chevy Avalanche

  Re: Chirality

(...) Funny. Actually, you apply chirality every day when you put your shoes on--you put the right shoe on the right foot and the left shoe on the left foot rather than vice versa. You just aren't thinking about the terminology when you do so. :) (...) (21 years ago, 9-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: New Faction: The Bonktrons are coming.

(...) Funny how the "LUGNET is dead" pronouncements always seem to come from people associated with other (moderated) forums. It's really too bad that you can't be an admin here and (URL) censor posts>, buy why don't you get over it already? Marc (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Okay, maybe not a real MOC, but close enough

(...) Ah, but if he were English, he would have to ask his mum for permission to marry... us Scots are a little more liberal in that respect.   Question about job security

Why hasn't Dubya fired Michael Brown? Why hasn't Dubya fired Michael Chertoff? While he's been President, has Dubya ever fired anyone? While he's been President, has Dubya ever fired anyone for anything other than a perceived lack of loyalty? (21 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
