Car inspired by "Muscle Cars" of the 60's and 70's

I've made some more ray-traces of variations of the car featured in the wallpaper I posted: (URL) can see them here: (URL) you can see, the doors and trunk open. The interior is fully detailed with steering wheel, instruments, gear-shifter, door (...) This is cooler than Westinghouse, Bram! It looks to me to be very reminiscient of early '60's (pre-Stingray) Corvettes. Good use of tan for the interior. -Cheese (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

(...) Thanks! (...) Last Saturday I went to the library, and saw a car in the parking lot. I don't remember what it was, but the design of the headlights and grille prompted me to build this model. I looked at some pictures of Mustangs and other (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

(...) Thanks! (...) I tried my best :) The trunk isn't very big though, and I might have been able to fit a false engine under the hood... (...) Right here: (URL) (25 years ago, 4-Mar-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

Bram: (...) How did you find space for that in there? I think I have to have a look at that DAT file. (...) Good looking. Impressive number of details. - And I have never managed to motorise a car of that size. Most impressive. Play well, Jacob (...) (25 years ago, 4-Mar-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

(...) Originally, I wasn't going to make the car very functional. However, I noticed that I had plenty of room under the front hood to add some steering. I also realized that the way the cars in the Ultimate LEGO Book are built, the wheels probably (...) (25 years ago, 5-Mar-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

(...) I think it helps a lot if you build around the motor instead of trying to squeeze a motor inside an existing body. For my car, I first built the front bumper and lights, and then built the chassis of the car. I built the body on top of the (...) (25 years ago, 5-Mar-00, to lugnet.modelteam)

(...) One thing, though: I think I'd go the other direction with the stripe. The stripe starting high and going low lends a look to the car that the back is lower than the front (Optical illusion, since the front is the same height as the back) and (...) (...) Thanks! (...) Hmm, maybe I'll try that and see how it changes the look of the car. (...) Not something you see very often, but they certainly look hot[1] :) --Bram 1)...enough to burn your legs as you step out of the car : (25 years ago, 8-Mar-00, to lugnet.modelteam)
