Someone on RTL posted that the UCS sets are in the S@H computer system. They
have the prices but not the piece counts. The TIE Intercepter is $99.99. I • was
thinking that the X-Wing piece count would be comparable to the 5571 or • larger.
Hopefully the 2000 piece barrier will be broken this year, which is fitting.

There was a post on RTL that sais that someone called s@h 3rd jan and got • prices of
$109 for the tie, with a piece count of 703 and $159 for the x-wing with a • 1304
piece count.

That's 15.5 cents a piece for the TIE and 12.1 cents a piece for the X-wing.
These sets are horribly overpriced.  As a comparison to the TIE, 5561 Big Foot
had 742 pieces (39 pieces more) and cost $88 ($21 less) PLUS it had 4 large
baloon tires which drove up the price of the set.  Now there don't seem to be
any special pieces like the tires in the TIE that would raise up the price of
this set unless the nameplates are made out of gold or something.  Maybe the
prices are in Canadian dollars? :-)  Or could these sets possibly come with a
CD-ROM?  That would be awesome!
As long as Lego keeps making sets as cool and detailed as these, I'm not going
to complain.

(...) Possibly we'll get really nice instruction booklets. Maybe hardbacked with glossy pages. That would be nice. Kya (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.starwars)
