$149.99 is the price for the new Ultimate Collector Series X-Wing set and is a
bit expensive for a set that only has standard Lego elements in it (no bricks
with computers, control centers, fiberoptics, technic motors, etc.)
If it is that high then there have to be a LOT of pieces, maybe 1,800+? It
seems like it since the 5571 giant truck from 1996 was retailing for $139 and
has 1743 pieces. The inflation over the 5 years would be about right going up
$10. Also, the 6 big tires on the 5571 might have bumped up the price of the
set and there are no tires in the X-wing so that means there might be even
more pieces, maybe 2000+ in the X-wing. This might be the biggest set ever
released!
