I didn't look at their website before, I'm sure TLC won't be happy with the
fact that they have the LEGO logo on their "products" page.

I guess they've got a good publicist.

No kidding there either! I think I'm in the wrong business!

Apparently, the rampant commercialism is a kind of "statement":

"Cake & Neave are concerned with the appropriation of themselves and of art.
They have transformed themselves into two highly loveable and mischievous
cartoon characters, The Little Artists, who exist in the realm of
Merchandise - the crossover between the aggressively marketed children’s
culture (represented by Pokémon) and the current commodification of High Art
(illustrated best by the gift shop at Tate Modern). With the endless
merchandising potential of animated characters and a love for the
perversities of appropriation, so often found in Art Gallery shops, these
two characters are projected onto a whole range of collectables and
franchise products that prey on the audiences’ empathy with The Little
Artists’ tale of struggle for recognition and also the references to great
Art. "          (from their home page)

The tree sells for £1500? Please send your customer list to me if they're
interested in more trees on log bricks when you guys run out of your "5".
:-)

I think the 1500 is for the whole 45cm x 45cm "Cattelan Room" model...

"Part of ‘Cattelan Room’ £1500 Edition of 5
Lego model
450mm x 450mm x 160mm"

Mind you, I'd sure like to get £1500 for some of my custom kits :-)  Maybe I
should re-label them as "art". They are certainly more original than the
"art" works advertised on this site!
