I'm pretty excited about this set, it's been under development a while. It
will soon be available at my Brickbay store. Skyline participated in the
design review process and is letting me use their logos and trade dress
under an official license. This is the FIRST time any custom kit builder has
made an officially licensed product, AFAIK. Yes, we have seen things with
railroad company logos on them but those weren't licensed by the designer.
I'm hopeful that this will not be the last licensed product we see either. I
can't comment on any negotiations I might or might not have underway with
other companies, of course, and I'm not aware of anyone else working this
angle, but it IS doable and I would encourage other kit designers to try it.
The first unit is being auctioned off as we speak(1), but as usual, that's
only to help set the pricepoint for the rest. I'm taking non binding
reservations (meaning that you reserve a spot but if the price ends up too
high for you, you are not obligated to buy). Set number 2 is reserved for
the Skyline Chili company themselves, so your reservations would start at
#3. Note that the 6 pane door(2) will be an extra cost item, as will be
color instructions (for units #3 and up)
There will ONLY be at most 25 of this unit, ever, because that's all I am
licensed for.
I am also taking reservations for run #2 of MTW-3001 and MTW-3002 which will
be produced in time for Christmas as well if all goes according to plan.

PLEASE set your FUT appropriately. If you want to talk about the theory of
licensing or ask questions about that (I will answer what I can subject to
legal constraints and my desire to keep trade secrets) FUT .theory.... if
you want to ask about the model itself or ask about parts you might want to
sell me, email may be best, but .bst is probably OK.
2 - Now you know why I desperately want 6 pane doors!!!! I am offering what
ever it takes for blue ones. email me your offers!
