Think, for a minute, about the number of transactions involved...even given computers, and we all know that the big chain computers are not always right, how could a retailer POSSIBLY track all the (...) | (...) This squares with my experience (which is mostly on the back end, not the retail floor per se). Unless a manufacturer gives out some sort of special promotion, inventory costs what it costs.
