I haven’t bought any of that set since before the color change. I was
wondering if anyone has bought that set recently, and if so, could you tell
me which shade of brown the pieces are?

I plan on buying 10-20 packs of this item in late October, if you can wait that
long for a reply. I’ll be using them either way, whether they’re new or old
brown.
My intuition tells me that they are still working from the initial run (old
brown) and haven’t re-run them. I think they were produced at a moment of
opportunity for TLG rather than as a planned pack. That is my own conclusion
and I have no official word on it. I’d imagine that when they sell out, that
will be all of that bulk pack. If it were a planned pack, I think we’d have
seen the same pack available in other colors.
