I quizzed a WalMart manager concerning the procedures for discounting products. WalMart management, specifically the toy dept. manager, has complete discretion as to when and amounts of the discounts that will be applied to the toys. Usually the (...) Today, I was at the Short Pump Target (near WalMart) and they were in the process of restocking the toy clearance aisle. Everything was marked at 50% off. Lego sets included lots of Droid Escapes, Arctic double packs, a few DDKs (at $49.95) and some (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.us.va.ric, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.org.us.richlug)

(...) I have noticed that Wal-Mart has been carring fewer of the $60 and up sets than they used to in the past, but that Super Wal-Marts (the big 'uns) tend to still stock heavy on LEGO.
