I can confirm most of what has been said here in this thread, K-Mart is the worst of that style of store that I have been in. I compare this to Target, Wal-Mart, Meire's, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if in the not-to-distant future K-Mart folded as (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Yes, Maine before Michigan...just when I thought I was on the most remote fringes of the distribution lines. Overall, it seems WalMart and TRU are neck-and-neck this year as far as first sightings. I read on lugnet.market.shopping that there was a 20% off sale at Kmart that was to end today (12/12) so I went down to see what I could find.
