FOTM- 8480 Technic Shuttle $45 ZainyBrainy

The subject line says it all... I think it was a great find.... one Technic Space Shuttle 8480 for only $45 at a Zainy Brainy in So Cal, the final price was after a 40% off of clearance items. Chet (24 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Mindstorms reduced at CompUSA, etc.

It looks like Best Buy is not the only store reducing prices on the DDK and RDS Mindstorms sets. CompUSA currently has the former for $59.99 and the latter for $99.99 -- both $10.00 more than Best Buy, but substantially less than list price. I also (...)   Dark Side Developer Kit at Target

I spotted two of the DSDK's at a local Target today. They were shelved with the other Star Wars sets (in a separate aisle) rather than with the Mindstorms sets. Retail price was $99.99 (no surprise). This looks like it could be a very cool set, even (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: K-MART notes

If I am not mistaken, then "BABY" is simply the new name for "PRIMO". It appears that these are still posted as "PRIMO" at lugnet, see e.g.: (URL) that the box clearly states "LEGO BABY". The bricks are clearly primo bricks, though. We have quite a (...) (24 years ago, 26-Jul-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  K-MART notes

A couple of items about K-Mart stores that might interest AFOLs: 1) At a K-Mart in Redwood City, CA I noticed a product under the logo of LEGO 'Baby'... apparently a division of the company on equal level as DUPLO and PRIMO. Thanks for the heads-up. I pass a Noodle Kidoodle on my way home from work so I stopped in to see if they had the same deals going.
