Re: K-mart: Buy one, get second half-off

Today I was able to pick up 2 Robo Raptors at my local K-Mart (Mesa, AZ). They were priced at 20 bucks but rang up at 16. The BOGO discount wasn't included but when I questioned it, the clerk made some calls and and said that the sale didn't apply (...) (25 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

6975 Alien Avenger $39.99 (33% off) at my TRU

At my TRU in Ohio, we have the 6975 Alien Avenger on clearance, 33% off, for $39.99 each (down from $59.99), if anyone wants me to pick them up one, let me know and we'll arrange something. Joel (25 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: K-mart: Buy one, get second half-off

One note about the current K-Mart BOGO sale... In recent BOGOs, I was able to take something which was already on clearance and get the BOGO to apply. It appears that K-Mart has closed this loophole. I tried three different K-Marts, each of which (...) (25 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Does this price seem a bit high?

(...) Actually, I'm using the tan pieces (finally enough) to make a 7-11 store. (the one in my neighborhood IS tan.) With the serpent/aten symbol on the 1x16 brick over the door, it's going to called Serpent-11 unless some customers gag. (25 years ago, 20-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Does this price seem a bit high?

No, the Adventurer Blimp is not one of the yucky plastic thing specials. It has 167 pieces, so, it's fair value at $20 because you can get it at a typical 20% off sale for $16. I went for it on those terms. The plastic mummy (Treasure Raiders) was (...) (25 years ago, 20-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Does this price seem a bit high?

(...) I'll have to agree with that. Actually, I am not very happy in general with any of the Amazon Adventurers sets. Some of them are OK, but IMO the Egyptian stuff was much better as a whole. Well, I guess I shouldn't complain too much about this (...) (25 years ago, 20-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Does this price seem a bit high?

(...) Hehe, yeah. Big Plastic Thingies (tm) have been discussed multiple times by the AFOLs, the conclusion was: they're useless. People will buy it for $5, MAYBE, but not for $25. -Shiri (25 years ago, 20-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)
