Re: LEGO Outlet @ Potomac Mills Mall is now shipping!

(...) Darn. Well, a heartfelt thanks for trying, Buffie. I'm sure you, at least, understand the market potential that exists here. I hope you didn't get in too much trouble for being responsive to customers. (sorry if that sounded too cynical - I (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Star Wars Lego 40% off at K-mart

(...) I was prepared to have the checker tell me that both sales couldn't apply at the same time, but the sets I bought rang up automatically with both the 20% discount and the buy-one-get-one-50%-off sales. So no fast-talking was necessary! (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Star Wars Lego 40% off at K-mart

(...) Just to be way too pedantic, the ad on Lego does say 50% off the _regular price_ on the second set. CRUD, I KNEW this was going to happen - I promised (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: WalMart vs WalMart

(...) Well where I work they have brought in temps right now just to fill things in. The temps are cashiering, stocking and working in the back, helping people on the floor is one thing they are not doing. A number of them don't speak much english, (...)   Re: 2000 Set Watch

I visted two TRUs and several KMs on Tuesday. No sign of the year 2000 sets. I'll look some more tomorrow. Ray (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Also happening where I am. Except that we just have a huge turnover rate (average duration of employment: about 2mos.) more than we have lack of applicants. And, yes, as long as the employee doesn't steal or get the store into legal trouble (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  2000 Set Watch

Hello all, I recently saw some speculation about the possiblities of the 2000 sets showing up last weekend or early this week. Has anyone seen anything yet, especially at either of the LIC's? Happy hunting, Joel (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)
