Re: Old stock re-appearing....possibly near you

(...) Is this also happening at Canadian TRU Stores or only in US because I haven't seen any old sets, just shelves filled with brand new items. Steve (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

Re: Old stock re-appearing....possibly near you

(...) Woohoo! (...) There's a reason for that, too. TRU stores are notorious for tossing older stock up onto the very top shelves to get it out of the way of newer stock. Noone really looks at the top shelves (not normal people, at least), however, (...) (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

Re: Old stock re-appearing....possibly near you

(...) Jake is correct about the old stock. I found 2-6478 Fire Fighter HQ at a TRU about a month and a half ago. The manager was happy to let them go for $10.00 each. Of course, that was in addition to the 2 loaded carts I purchased. Steven Weiser (21 years ago, 26-Aug-03, to lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

  Old stock re-appearing....possibly near you

All, I just got a call from a colleague in our sales department. They are working closely with the big chains this summer to clear out much of their old inventory to make way for newer products. While my colleagues were out and about all over the (...) (21 years ago, 26-Aug-03, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct, FTX) !

Re: high-end restraint at WM ?

(...) I just stopped by my local store and the only two shelf tags with prices over $49.99 are the AT-TE and the NBA full-court game, neither of which are really all that new as of this reset. And neither was in stock at this time. Of course, I live (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: high-end restraint at WM ?

(...) I did look at both. Thats what prompted the question. I suspect that WM may be tailoring the stocking (at the high end) based on which stores could the sell the stuff and which could not. I wondered when they would figure this out. (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: BrickBros.net have great deals going - $125 10019, $62 7163

(...) As young businessmen, when starting our web site, we wanted to go cheap. SSL wasn't a required aspect of the web site because we use PayPal to process credit card payments anyway. The only reason we went with SSL was because we were advised to (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

Re: high-end restraint at WM ?

(...) I saw the $50 Hailfire Droid shortly before the reset, but they haven't actually stocked anything new since moving the LEGO section around. If you want to know what to expect, either look at the shelf tags or the stock planning sheets. (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: high-end restraint at WM ?

My local WM just reset their shelves and they had the AT-TE's. I'm not sure if they had the AT-AT or not - I wasn't specifically looking for that set. Their website has both the AT-TE and AT-AT.   Re: BrickBros.net have great deals going - $125 10019, $62 7163

(...) OK, so I'm curious... who are The Brick Bros ? The main page opens with an https (secure server) url, but mozilla kicked the certificate are being questionable. Most sites do not go to the https until you get to checkout, not that this is (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-03, to lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)
