  Re: General Box 3 Log

I received General Box #3 yesterday. Nice postcard, Tamy. The building (sorry, don't remember the name) looks like it would translate very well to LEGO. :) We went through the pieces, pulled out a few bits. From memory: Head with light-brown hair, (...)   Jambalaya FAQ

Hi! we've got some new people, so I though I'd post this info again... COME JOIN THE JUMBLE! 1. What is a jambalaya box? A jambalaya box is a collection of LEGO® elements. It is sent through the mail to different people. Each person takes out some (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Cleanliness of the pieces

(...) If his mold sensitivities are anything like mine, he'll know if its mold or clay... Of course if its mold, a lysol or bleach soaking should do a lot to cure it. (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Where are all the boxes?

Hi Jodi, and welcome to Lugnet! To sign up for a specific box, you have to post a reply directly to the anchor post (usually by me, it says General Box #N or something similar) saying you want on the list for that box.... to do it the way you just (...)   Re: Where are all the boxes?

Please sign me up for both of the Junk boxes and both of the General boxes. And hopefully by the time any of them make it to me I will have more then enough stuff sorted out to add to them. Does anyone out there put wish lists into these boxes? (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Cleanliness of the pieces

(...) I thought that was clay. That was on those cogs when they were donated by Todd. If you think you can get it off without distorting the plastic, it would be worth a try. I just happen to be allergic to most forms of mold and (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Cleanliness of the pieces

I must be a little confused here. Are there 2 Technic boxes floating around? Did I miss something? I will admit that I am not too savvy reading Todd's web based news, and the original 'technic box' thread disappeared from my newsreader weeks ago. (...)   Re: Where are all the boxes?

(...) Oh, I know. It was just frustrating to not be seeing *any* progress reports. As I expected, it seems to be a combination of failure to report progress when the boxes were moving as well as failure of boxes to move due to real-world (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: Where are all the boxes?

I hadn't heard the term before but yes, the boxes in question are exactly what you've described as a "Lego bee". To answer your questions: There is no set number of people involved. The sign-up lists just keep getting longer (faster than names are (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Cleanliness of the pieces

I've found a nice cleaner that removes just about anything, including smoke smell - Lysol Kitchen Cleaner. It leaves a nice citrusy smell too ;-) If this is the Technic box, and you don't have time to clean them, I'll soak them for a day or 2 in it, (...)
