RE: The Weeks box round two - who wants in?

Susan Olson wrote: The box is already coming to Houston since that's where I am. Maybe we can meet up somewhere to pass the box off by hand (and split postage costs for the next leg. :-) Assuming no one objects to an extra participant of course. (...)   Re: The Weeks box round two - who wants in?

(...) Hi Christopher (and everyone else)! My posting privileges are finally set up - can I still get in on the box? I can put in Technics stuff (am getting out of that in favor of trains, then town, then stuff that's just too cool to pass up) as (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Hi all! I think I might want to sign on for the Weeks's latest Jambalaya if it's not too late (I'm in Houston TX and believe me I can get plenty of the edible kind - pretty darn good for being outside of Louisana - now I think I'd like to see some (...)   Re: The Weeks box round two - who wants in?

Please do lighten it, 9 lbs costs an obscene amount to ship unless you trudge to UPS, and even then it isn't cheap. You'd have to find an awful lot of pieces in the box to make it cheaper than an Ebay lot. Up to 8 lbs, USPS is generally cheaper than (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: GB#3 - Question about splitting or content - Do you need WHEELS?

Davis, I'm not really interested in wheels at all, so it would be more than fine if you took the box before me. -- Thomas Main main@appstate.edu (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: The Weeks box round two - who wants in?

(...) Some thoughts: - remove most of the catalogs and instructions, those are wieghty, and generally of limited interest - is that mania magazine a recent one? If so, I'd hold it for a box which is about to go overseas - split the box into two (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: The Weeks box round two - who wants in?

(...) Tom Stangl California (...) So, this box is 9.4 pounds right now. This is heavy. I have no problem with these boxes getting this heavy, but others do. What do you all suppose I should do?   Re: GB#3 - wheel payment

Hi all, I've already confessed to being the guilty party on the bag of wheels, so I might as well talk about them. I figured that they'd go around the group and people take some out here and there and they'd eventually find good homes. If it matters (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Re: GB#3 - Question about splitting or content - Do you need WHEELS?

Frank's proposal sounds fine to me if it is agreeable to everyone else... I am the new guy on the block so to speak, so seniority should get 1st picks... I don't want to step on Thomas's toes, so the call is his on passing it towards me first... My (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)
