The Subaru he is selling is, IIRC, what you'd call an "estate wagon." It has a cargo area accessible by a rear hatchback, as opposed to a regular sedan (saloon) which would have a trunk (boot). ~Mark (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.auction)

(...) No, I meant to type postage, inasmuch as I was trying to be silly. For a vehicle of this age and condition, shipping to the UK via the cheapest possible way would be a significant fraction of (or even MORE than) the value of the car. Much less (...)       (...) The cheapest way of shipping a car is by ship, as you might expect, and in fact it's more common than some might think.          Re: Want my car? I want your LEGO —Frank Filz
(...) Well, given Lindsay's $1100 or so shipping cost, rental for several months would start to approach the shipping cost. You may also be seeing people avoiding import duties or otherwise finding some angle around cost or regulations.
