On a similar note, has anyone received spam from any of the following?

makemoney838458585@bu.astra.co.id
cablenews4u@bigfoot.com
wtr3@aol.com
suzan235499@bellsouth.com
gft6@aol.com
cdnames@flashmail.com

The only place I've e-mailed has been LUGNET, or friends/lugnet users, so
they didn't get my address from a news-group. [this started arriving from
about the start of the month] If no-one else has received these, I'll have
to look elsewhere.

BTW, the last one is the worst...advertising CD's full of names...And if
they can e-mail an add to you, odds on you're already on the CD.

In lugnet.admin.general, Jeremy H. Sproat writes:
No, my issue is with his incredible lack of tact in • resorting to spam to
further his business.  If he wants to advertise himself,
fine, just don't do
it
at my expense in my inbox.

By simply deleting the e-mail and doing nothing else, I'd
encourage his
immoral
business practices.  By discussing it in a public forum, I • can -- at the same
time -- alert others of this spammer, and give him a hint • that there are those
who don't put up with his kind of abuse.

I agree 100%.  I simply responded to his message when it came
to my newsguy
address and asked him to remove my address, although I know
for a fact I have
never done business with him before.  When it showed up at my
guarded-inn.com
address, though, I knew he was just harvesting e-mail addresses.

So here is MY blunt opinion on this subject - it's WRONG.
Mr. Viker should
not presume on my time and privacy by spamming me with
MULTIPLE solicitations
like this.  It is obvious he put no effort into personalizing
this list,
otherwise he wouldn't have sent it to me at two addresses.
