In lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, Mike Walsh seems to say:

Last Friday when I was on the phone with LEGO S@H they gave me an
availability date of August for all of the soccer buses.  I mentioned • that
the in-box catalogs showed a May availability and they lady told me that
their system shows August.  Anyone heard anything different?

Sound like just another date to me.  Here is what I have come up with:

April 2000  - mini S@H in-box catalog
May 2000  - full-size North American in-box retail catalog
July 2000  - official Lego website
August 2000  - S@H computer database

How's that for speculation.  It could be anyone's guess when the new • soccer
sets will be available.  We shall all just have to wait until we can know • for
sure.  Chances are that the mega-retailers in the USA will have them • before
Shop @ Home; this is almost always the case.

I have a meeting down in Orlando on April 5-7 and will of course swing by
the Orlando-LIC (at least once) in hopes of finding some Soccer sets.  Last
year I was down there when the Star Wars sets were first available (long
before they appeared in North Carolina).  I hope it happens again.

Speaking of the LIC, I was there yesterday and one thing I noticed was that
the number of non-brick items in the store has increased significantly.  It
is almost as if the sets are secondary in what they are marketing.

There wasn't much of interest sets-wise, but one thing I did notice is that
the Train section was void of both boxes of straight and curved track.
Also, I only noticed one set of points.  Lots of cross track though.
