Now, is that midnight, as in Fri, 12am (last second of Thurs/1st second of Friday), or Sat, 12am (last second of Fri/1st second of Sat)? Lessee, that's 11pm on Thurs or Fri, PST...          Re: James Brown's Parts Sale, Mark II —James Brown
(...) 11pm Friday, PST. In my experience, and common usage, "Friday midnight" always means Friday night, not Friday morning. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that some folks are just being pedantic, I'll make the time clearer when I update it (...) (25 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) AM, (...) I just gotta make things worse: 1st come 1st served on messages *received* after 12:01 (or 12:01 on the dot)? As opposed to sent - I have to guess the lag time between when I send it and when you receive it. :-O Nothing is ever (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: James Brown's Parts Sale, Mark II —James Brown
(...) I can't do anything about the lag time of e-mail. Sorry. What I will do, since it seems to be an issue, is check my mail AT midnight on Friday, and disregard any orders I've received, regardless of their timestamp. Thereafter, it's the order I (...)         Re: James Brown's Parts Sale, Mark II —James Brown
(...) say for certain what's sold and what hasn't, but I can say for certain that you will be at least the 11th person down on the list, and at least two people on that list appear to have attempted to order most of my sale.         Re: James Brown's Parts Sale, Mark II —James Brown
(...) Well, I've gone through and read the glut of e-mail - if you've sent in a bid, you should have a response, and the web page is updated. Not quite as picked over as I thought, from the initial rush; there's still some good stuff there. (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
