Re: Dacta Sets For Sale - 15% Off - New Sets —Larry Pieniazek
IMNSHO it is far better to post a website pointer this way: (URL) this way: WWW.GEOCITIES.COM/RO.../MALL/1994 as the second one does not work for me. Apparently case is important to GeoCities. Also putting the http stuff in front makes it directly (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jun-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

When you are right Lar, you are right. Didn't go to the website until *you* made the link...:-) -John "lazy customer" Neal (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jun-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Dacta Sets For Sale - 15% Off - New Sets —Glen Tannenbaum

http case sensitivity (Was: Dacta Sets For Sale - 15% Off - New Sets) —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) It's possible that the host name "WWW.GEOCITIES.COM" (which is resolved via DNS) is case-insensitive (1), and the directory path "/rodeodrive/mall/1994/" (which is resolved by the server's file system) is case-sensitive. The only (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jun-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: http case sensitivity (Was: Dacta Sets For Sale - 15% Off - New Sets) —Paul Mison
(...) DNS *is* case insensitive (at least according to RFC 1035: (URL) that might have been superseded- I didn't like to page through all the supplements to the original). So the first bit will work whatever. The path is definitely case sensitive, (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jun-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.off-topic.geek)
