Well, if you have to type in the URL by hand, or cut & paste it by hand,
then yes. But many modern newsreaders display a hyperlink to click on,
and very few of these are smart enough to know when to remove the trailing
punctuation. :)

| (...) Ah, dumb Windows programs, probably. I just copy and paste by hand. By mouse, actually, but you know what I mean. And actually, SecureCRT can launch a URL when I see one displayed in a SSH session (usually while reading news with slrn), but (...) (26 years ago, 25-Apr-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
