Milton Train Works(tm) is pleased to announce that the latest Milton Train
Works creation is now available for purchase at the Milton Train Works
Brickbay(tm) store.
http://www.brickbay.com/store.asp?u=lar&itemID=82603
I'm initially offering it (I may have to raise the price if my costs go up)
without motor for 85 USD. A motor, if you need one, will be 20 extra. To
read more about this model, see

and in particular:

This homage to the humble diesel switcher has some interesting features.
Among the most interesting (and I confess I am not sure how well it will
work out) is that I will allow you, the buyer, to select the color scheme.
Although I developed 5 different color schemes, including the UP scheme that
was featured in the initial auction (now over but still as of this writing
visible at
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=560230236), I decided
to just open it up and let you choose all 6 areas that can vary in color
independently via a fill in form:
http://www.miltontrainworks.com/MTW-2001colorSelector.html
Please feel free to view the form and get an idea of the possible choices,
but please don't submit it unless you have a Brickbay order number in hand.
(the form is powered by a cgi script Todd did a while back, it's a variant
of the one that powers my factoring form). Submitting the form will result
in an email to me with your selections.
It will be very interesting to see how well I can fulfill this. The number
of possible combinations is quite large at 5x7x7x7x7x6 or 72030 (some of the
combinations are not ones that would be pleasant to the eye, but many are)
Another interesting feature is that I will be including extra parts to allow
you to make the model in several variants, so you can get close to your
favorite prototype (2 notch hood, 1 notch hood, straight hood, cab with
lower front bulge or without). Hints and suggestions are liberally sprinkled
throughout the 18 page instructions.
As usual, this model will feature bound instructions and a certificate of
authenticity. I have also improved my packaging by using a sturdy box.
I expect to be discussing this in market.theory after I have some
fulfillment experience.
