Yup, reverse auctions (not to be confused with reserve auctions! :)

Definitely. At least, it fits perfectly into the category of discussions
that I had in mind when I used the word "analysis."

This is a good place, IMO. If things get pretty deep, another possibility
might be to create lugnet.market.theory or lugnet.market.auction.theory --
these were talked about last summer.
