   It is just something you have to live with... it happens. Be thankful the bids are retracted before the auction's end. There are bidders who do it deliberately try to manipulate the system.      Subject line is wrong: we're talking bid retraction by the buyer here, not bid cancellation by the seller. I'd say all the reasons given in this thread for the bid retractions are against the eBay "allowable reasons" for it (see the TOS (URL) and (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

   This is one where a followup or response saying "list is 129.99" may be warranted. 99 is an OK price for a set that lists for 129.99, IMHO. And I agree with Alan that retracting bids, when done in a way that manipulates the auction DOES deny the (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.auction)
