A: Yes, your bids made it here [most likely]. Some auction systems process
e-mail bids instantly upon receipt, and generate an instantaneous response.
Our auction system has a complex interface (complex for the computer, easy
hopefully for you :-) which wasn't designed to be 100% machine-automated.
So we process incoming bids in batches a few times daily -- we scan the
incoming mail quickly and look for anything unusual before sending it
through. Often, we can write people back and point out a formatting error
which they may not have noticed. This is helpful to them as they learn
the system, as well as good for us because we don't lose out on bids.
If more than a day or two goes by after you submit some bids, and you
still haven't received an update reflecting the result of those bids, then
please write and ask us to see if we know what's up.
