For me personally it's not the fact that they are rare, but the fact that
they are SOLID that puts them on the top of my wish list. I build large
models that tend to weigh quite a lot, and none of the newer tires can hold
the weight because they are hollow.
If Lego were to make a new solid tire in the same size (or close) I'd be
just as happy. :)
But until then, i'll just add myself tot he long list of everyone else that
wants these tires, badly!
(The fact that they only came in large, expensive sets might also contribute
to their demand, alond with the fact that they were popular sets that people
like to have complete in their collections. An Auto-Chassis without tires
just wouldn't be right...)

| I've had a few of these wheels (with gray, yellow and white hubs), and I'm amazed at the demand for them stateside. Especially, as they have been in quite a few sets. I have sold these and wheels for the 8880, and the older ones consistently are in (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.technic)
